Why Do Women Like Older Men?

I feel like this is an age-old question. Why do women like older men? Is this even true? If so, what does it mean for you as a man?

According to research data, the average age gap between a man and a woman is 2.3 years. This means that for most couples, the man is 2.3 years older than his female counterpart.

With these numbers, it’s definitely certain that women like older men. Now I want to point out that this is just the average. There are always rules to the exception. However, for the most part, it’s true and there are reasons for it.

I am going to go over some of the main reasons women like older men and what you can do with this information that will benefit you depending on your age.

Older Men Are More Confident

The first and main reason women like older men is because they are more confident.  Most older men are a lot more confident than younger guys. This is because older men have had time to develop and cultivate this confidence throughout their years of life. As you navigate through your lifetime, you are going to experience many difficult and challenging situations which are going to test your strength and fortitude.

During your life, you will probably have had hard jobs dealing with people. You have probably had uncomfortable situations at work and in life you had to deal with. You’ve probably been through a few breakups and have even gone through heartbreak yourself.

If you’ve managed to make it through all these difficulties successfully, you will have developed an air of confidence that only time and experience can bring.

Even if you haven’t been through all of this but you’ve spent time working on building your confidence by working with mentors or taking classes, you’re still more likely to have developed more confidence vs if you were younger.

Now, what trait does a woman find most attractive in a man?

You’ve got that right.

Confidence.

If you just put 2 and 2 together, you’ll see that as an older man, women will instinctively know that you are going to be more confident. Make no mistake though, this instinct must be eventually confirmed by reality. If you haven’t actually made yourself a confident man, this could actually work against you.

Older Men Are More Mature

This brings us to the second reason why women like older men.

Just like confidence, maturity follows a very similar pathway in a man’s life. As a man gets older, he becomes wiser as he accumulates knowledge. With his knowledge, he is able to make better and more sound decisions.

Most women eventually want to find a man to settle down with. They want to have a family and kids.

To do this, they are going to need a man that is wise, mature, and knows how to make good decisions. Not only for herself but for the entire family.

Women do not want an overgrown child.

The older you are, the more mature, wise, and knowledgeable women will instinctively think you are.

Again, this is something that must be eventually confirmed by reality. If you are a 50-year-old man but act like you’re 20, this is going to be a huge turn-off for women.

Make sure you are cultivating your maturity as you become older.

Older Men Have More Financial Stability

The third reason women like older men are because they usually have more money than younger men. This seems pretty obvious since the older you get, the more time you’ve had to work and accumulate wealth.

Hopefully, you have made smart financial decisions and are financially free or are working to become so.

You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know that women view wealth as a measure of attraction.

There are many reasons for this but in general, women need financial stability to be able to have a happy and healthy family. It’s hard to have a family and kids if you are living paycheck to paycheck and you haven’t saved up any money.

The younger you are, the easier it is to get away with not having a lot of money. As long as you have ambition and drive to make money in the future, it’s usually not a deal breaker for most women.

Again, this has to be confirmed by reality. If you are a 50-year-old man with no money, this is going to absolutely work against you. Make sure you are working hard and saving up your finances!

Older Men Have More Experience

This brings us to the final reason women like older men.

The older you are, the more experience you will have. This is very similar to maturity but it’s not exactly the same.

What exactly is experience?

Well, experience comes in many forms.

Most older men will have been with more women in their lifetimes. This means sexually, men will be more experienced than younger men. Sex is very important when it comes to having and maintaining a relationship with a woman so women will want someone who is “good in bed”. Being older, women will often assume you are probably better in bed and it works in your favor.

Experience can also mean life experiences. Older men generally tend to have visited more places, held more jobs, have more hobbies, read more books, and interacted with more people. Women are enthralled and entranced by a man of many talents. The more experience you have in life, the less boring you will be. This translates to you being more fun and interesting to a woman.

To quote the famous Cyndi Lauper, “Girls just wanna have fun”.

Use This Information To Your Advantage

Well, there it is, all of the main reasons why women like older men.

I want to show you a simple graph that pretty much demonstrates the validity of all this. This graph is from one of my favorite authors’ books The Rational Male by Rollo Tomassi.

The graph shows the age men have the highest sexual market value towards women. As you can see, 38 is around the age men peak and it only slowly goes down from there.

What should you do now?

If you’re younger, don’t worry, you have your whole life ahead of you to start developing these traits. You need to immediately start building your confidence, maturity, and finances. You need to start living life to its fullest. Stop playing video games and go out to meet people. Pick up hobbies and start traveling as much as you can.

If you’re older, I hope you have already worked on all of these things I have discussed.

If you have, you don’t need to worry as you’re in a great place in order to get a young and beautiful woman by your side.

If you haven’t, you need to start NOW. Do not waste another day.

Look, it’s never too late to start. Start building good habits and in 5-10 years you will be in a good place.
